As a Packaging Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the Packaging Co-ordinator across all packaging formats within George clothing departments. This position involves close collaboration with internal teams, suppliers, and external stakeholders to ensure packaging is compliant, innovative, and aligned with Brand standards. You’ll contribute to the development and improvement of packaging solutions, manage licensing relationships, and support operational tasks such as quoting and purchase order processing.
You Role
- Responsible for supporting the Packaging Co-ordinator with all packaging formats across George clothing departments.
- Respond to queries from internal teams, suppliers and external stakeholders.
- Support trading teams on recommending new and improved pack formats to support with taxes and legislations.
- Work with packaging suppliers to mock up pack formats and create new Packaging.
- Manage License packaging and relationships across DTR Licenses.
- Arranging quotes and raising POs for re-works.
- Work with other teams within the sourcing function at key times and to support workload.
Key Responsibilities
- Creation and assignment of new packaging.
- Day to day management of supplier/trading team queries.
- Collect packaging waste data for reporting.
- Regular engagement with trading teams to brief out new packaging and WOW.
- Maintenance of Packaging guide.
- Making sure new pack formats are durable and correct from the supplier.
- Respond to internal and external queries in a timely manner.
