Are you an experienced Junior Designer looking for a new challenge? We have an exciting 12‑month fixed‑term contract available! As the Junior Designer and Brand Advocate you will be key to the creation and development of exciting, credible new ranges that will appeal to George customers aligned with seasonal trends and brand direction. You will be responsible for delivering stylishly designed products, ensuring quality, style and value is consistently delivered across our range.
Key Responsibilities
- Research new trends and market information to inform decision making.
- Drive product development from concept to production, keeping the George customer at the heart of the process.
- Collaborate with UK and overseas suppliers/factories to develop multi‑category products.
- Produce innovative designs in line with customer needs and brand values using CAD software, including Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
- Contribute to key meetings with a strategic mindset and strong critical‑path understanding.
- Integrate multiple research avenues—social media, blogs, trend sites/books—to deliver commercial designs.
Qualifications
- At least 3 years of garment design experience within the retail industry.
- Experience in a retail or supply‑base design environment with a strong eye for trend and research.
- Proficiency in CAD software, especially Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
- Innovative approach and desire to drive more digital ways of working.
- Strategic mindset and collaborative spirit.
