Overview

Join George as an Assistant Garment Designer in our Baby Boys department on a 12 month FTC. We are a leading name in children’s fashion, creating stylish, high-quality, and comfortable clothing for little ones. Responsibilities

  • Develop concepts, sketches, and CADs in collaboration with the Senior Designer
  • Create and update tech packs with construction details, materials, and specifications
  • Research trends and analyse the market to keep designs relevant and competitive
  • Support fabric, trim, and colour selection for seasonal collections
  • Work with cross-functional teams—including merchandising and buying—to ensure a cohesive range
  • Attend supplier and departmental meetings, supporting the Senior Designer with presentation and mood boards
  • Contribute ideas in brainstorming and seasonal design meetings
  • Deliver work to deadlines, aligned with project timelines and the critical path
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and competitor activity

Qualifications

  • Degree in Fashion Design or related field
  • 1–2 years’ experience in a design role, ideally in children’s fashion
  • Strong Adobe Illustrator and CAD skills
  • Good knowledge of garment construction, textiles, and trims
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Highly organised with strong time management skills
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Passion for children’s fashion and a strong eye for detail
