This full-time position offers a daily rate of £150 to £250, depending on experience and qualifications. You will play a critical role in shaping the educational journey of young learners, creating a supportive and engaging environment that fosters academic excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality Maths lessons that are engaging, interactive, and aligned with the national curriculum.
- Develop and implement creative lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs and abilities of students.
- Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students, providing feedback that promotes growth and understanding.
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively, ensuring a safe and productive learning environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external agencies to support the holistic development of students.
- Participate in departmental meetings, parent evenings, and professional development sessions.
- Encourage a growth mindset and love of learning among students, promoting participation in extra-curricular Maths-related activities.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS / QTLS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching Maths at secondary level, with a strong knowledge of the UK curriculum.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate students.
- A proactive approach, with strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the varying needs and abilities of students.
- Strong commitment to personal and professional development.
- A valid DBS check or the willingness to obtain one prior to starting.
