Position overview:
- Monitor and remotely operate HPU assets, identifying and resolving operational issues through diagnostics and troubleshooting.
- Escalate complex faults to on‑call field engineers and provide advanced technical support when required.
- Provide operational and customer support during shifts, including liaising with suppliers, site teams, and customers.
- Track hydrogen fuel usage, coordinate delivery schedules, and perform remote system shutdowns during refuelling.
- Monitor operational KPIs, analyse performance data, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reliability and efficiency.
- Execute emergency and contingency response plans to minimise downtime and operational risk.
- Produce clear data reports and communicate technical insights to internal teams and stakeholders.
- Work as part of a growing 24/7 operation (initially day shifts, moving to shift-based pattern in 2026).
Qualifications and Skills:
- 2:1 / First Class Degree in Engineering (preferably Electrical or Chemical) or equivalent qualification.
- Experience in operating and remotely fault‑finding industrial or energy assets.
- Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills, with the ability to stay composed under pressure.
- Technical understanding of networking and control systems.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for cross‑team collaboration and customer interaction.
- Proactive and self‑motivated, with a passion for renewable and zero‑emission energy.
- High attention to detail and strong computer literacy (MS Office Suite, operational management or CRM tools such as Salesforce Field Service Lightning preferred).
- Experience in a Remote Operating Centre or fast‑paced operational environment is desirable.
