The Role
Geomiq is looking for an exceptional Strategic Accounts Director to grow our most important existing and target customers. This is a senior, field-led business development role, not traditional account management. You'll work alongside our Sales Director as a peer: they own the inside-sales engine; you'll own strategic account growth, senior relationships and field-based account development. Your job is simple: get close to our customers, uncover opportunities, and turn those relationships into significant revenue growth.
What You'll Do
- Own the growth strategy across our highest-potential accounts.
- Spend significant time face-to-face with customers, building relationships across engineering, procurement and senior leadership.
- Research and map accounts, stakeholders, competitors, sites and growth opportunities.
- Run excellent discovery: understand customer problems before proposing solutions.
- Identify buying signals, new projects and incumbent providers we can displace.
- Expand Geomiq into new teams, sites, use cases and programmes.
- Create and progress a strong pipeline of strategic opportunities.
- Work closely with the Sales Director, technical SMEs and Supply Chain on major opportunities.
- Build the Strategic Accounts function and hire/develop a field-based Key Account Management team.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who is exceptional in front of customers. You'll have a proven track record of growing complex B2B accounts, ideally within manufacturing, engineering, industrial technology or another technical environment. You'll be:
- Highly commercial and naturally curious.
- Excellent at consultative discovery and relationship building.
- Confident with engineers, procurement teams and senior executives.
- Proactive in generating your own customer meetings and opportunities.
- Strong at recognising and developing buying signals.
- Highly prepared, organised and accountable.
- Comfortable operating autonomously at Director level.
- A builder who enjoys creating teams, processes and playbooks from the ground up.
What Success Looks Like
You'll turn Geomiq's priority customers into larger, deeper and more strategic relationships, create significant new revenue opportunities, displace incumbent manufacturers and build a high-performing strategic accounts team around you. This is a role for someone who would rather be in a customer's engineering facility uncovering their next programme than sitting behind a desk managing a CRM.
