Senior Geoenvironmental Engineer | Huddersfield | Full Time

Geo Enviro Solutions is looking for a Senior Geoenvironmental Engineer to join our Huddersfield-based team.

You'll lead complex geo-environmental projects, provide technical guidance to junior engineers, and work closely with clients across ground investigation, remediation, and geotechnical assessment.

Leadership: Take a leadership role in planning, executing, and overseeing complex geo-environmental projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with environmental regulations.

Expertise: Provide expert technical guidance on geo-environmental issues, including soil and groundwater assessment, remediation strategies, and geotechnical considerations.

  • Team Management: Mentor and supervise junior engineers, offering guidance on technical matters, project management, and career development.

Assessments: Conduct thorough site assessments, environmental impact assessments, and risk assessments for a wide range of projects, identifying potential environmental hazards and proposing mitigation strategies.

  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on evolving environmental regulations and ensure project designs and activities comply with all relevant laws and standards.
  • Remediation Planning: Develop comprehensive remediation plans for contaminated sites, including the selection of appropriate technologies and methods for cleanup.

The main responsibilities of the role may be around 30-40% site based carrying out site investigation works.

The primary tasks will include all of the above plus geotechnical and/or geoenvironmental report writing competently; reviewing, checking and correcting reports by junior members of staff; liaising with clients about project / site specific details; project management, scheduling testing, learning the necessary skills to progress in career.
