Position requirements and constraints:

  • Working hours: Sunday-Thursday 21:30-06:00
  • 40 hours per week
  • 30 minute break

Key Activities / Accountabilities:

  • Track hours within their team to allow accurate allocation by the Shift Manager.
  • Lead employees / temps within the DC to provide excellent customer service.
  • Coordinate with Supervisor and/or Shift Manager to ensure customer orders are ready in line with scheduled departures.
  • Monitor productivities.
  • Facilitate efficient movement/transit of goods throughout the DC.
  • Ensure all equipment is used in a safe and efficient manner following defined procedures.
  • Assist in training activities.
  • Lead by example at all times.
  • Maintain equipment in a neat, clean and orderly fashion and promote this practice.
  • Participate in re-work and project work as required by the customer.
  • Assist in maintaining the security of the DC by promoting processes which promote the safety and security of the DC.
  • Assist in completing RCA's/8D's to establish reasons for discrepancies and suggest mitigating or preventative measures.
  • Work with Shift Manager to ensure ISO/HMRC/SMS/HSE compliance for assigned facilities.
  • Assist in maintaining physical properties and promote and ensure a clean and safe work environment.
  • Promote GEODIS in a positive and ethical manner always.
  • Carry out any reasonable request.

Applicant's profile:

  • Essential Education and/or Training:
    • Minimum 3 to 5 years related warehouse and/or distribution centre experience.
    • 1 year of supervisory experience preferred.
    • GCSE's in Maths, English and Science (grades A to C).
  • Preferred Experience and Knowledge:
    • Ability to read and write simple instructions, memos, and reports.
    • Assist in providing ideas to improve their team's function.
    • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions provided by written, oral or diagram form.
    • Experience with warehouse equipment.
  • Necessary Technical / Functional Skills:
    • Assist in overcoming Logistical Constraints within their specific team in the DC.
    • Assist in producing class leading performance and adherence to their team's KPI's.
    • Ability to use Microsoft Office and Excel.
