Job description
Freight Forwarding supplies and combines freight services, information management and value-added services into integrated solutions.
As part of the GEODIS Group, the Freight Forwarding division supports GEODIS' capacity to offer customers one partner to support all their supply chain challenges on a global scale.
The Business Development line of business is the commercial driver of GEODIS.
The purpose of the department is to attract new customers and retain and grow existing customers.
This includes increasing the number of clients in all GEODIS Freight Forwarding customer segments.
The Commercial and Business Support department within the Business Development function is accountable for specific support activities to GEODIS Freight Forwarding commercial owners in Business Development, product, and the branch managers.
The Inside Sales Team is responsible for growing new business as well as servicing, retaining and growing the country's national portfolio.
- Reporting to the Sales Director.
- Based at LHR Office.
- Full time, 5 days (Monday-Friday) 37.5hrs per week.

- Participation in the creation, development, and execution of the Business Development strategy within the Commercial & Business Support function.
- Identify and report optimization possibilities in approach, processes and policies.
- Act as ambassador of the strategy within the network.
- Model the company values in day-to-day interaction internally and externally.
- Support both sales and branches in achieving their respective business objectives in the most efficient and effective way possible.
- Upgrade customer accounts to BDM level subject to expected revenue when required.
Qualification and Support of new accounts
- Telesales qualification of new prospects.
- Profiling of the new customers based on size, vertical market and buying behaviour.
- Documenting required information and actions taken in CRM.
- Assisting sales with making appointments with customers where appropriate.
- Support credit checks for new customers prior to submitting quotations, in line with management policy.
- Provide quotes to customers/prospects within your portfolio.
- Handle customer commercial questions (technical, pricing, invoices, consulting).
