The people in your care and custody will have a variety of different needs and it will be your role to ensure they are met, and those individuals are treated with dignity and respect whilst maintaining a safe, secure, and structured environment.

You have full responsibility for the physical and mental wellbeing of adults in your care, ensuring their health, safety and wellbeing is a priority.

You will liaise with court authorities and other officers that have transported individuals from Prison or Police custody, ensuring all documentation is completed and correct, carrying out risk assessments on vulnerable or at-risk prisoners.

You’ll work as part of a team to make sure all those in custody are safe, looked after and arrive in the court dock on time.

You’ll help to maintain security and order in the court room and custody suite.

You’ll maintain accurate records and complete relevant documentation related to prisoner movements within the court environment.

You’ll be part of team that will search individuals, cells, and areas of the custody suites and maintain a clean, safe and secure environment.
