Liaising with suppliers, negotiating routine pricing, lead times and delivery arrangements within delegated authority. ·
Challenging late or at-risk deliveries, agreeing recovery dates and escalating significant risks. ·
Picking, packing and preparing goods for UK and international despatch. ·
Working with couriers, freight forwarders and transport providers to compare costs, service levels and lead times. ·
Preparing and checking shipping documentation, including export paperwork, certificates of origin and customs or carrier information where applicable. ·
Carrying out defined incoming and outgoing quality checks and maintaining relevant certification and inspection records. ·
Raising supplier non-conformances and supporting corrective action through to satisfactory closure. ·
Keeping stores, packing and despatch areas safe, clean, organised and audit ready.
What we're looking for Relevant experience in stores, materials control, stock control, warehousing, purchasing support or a similar operational role. ·
Experience of goods receipt, goods issue, picking, packing and despatch. ·
