Role Overview
The Global Payroll Project Manager will be part of the Genus Payroll System Transformation. Your responsibility to the success of this project goes beyond day‑to‑day tasks. This implementation involves relationship building, working knowledge of payroll systems (preferably a knowledge of iiPay) and accomplishing milestones based on a set program timeline. This role requires partnership with payroll SMEs, business/finance partners and vendor partners to accomplish your addition. You will use creative and critical thinking skills to ensure your portion of the project is well designed and avoids negative impact to employee payroll because the software is changing. Paramount to this position are strong analytical skills, attention to detail and the ability to navigate complex global payroll systems efficiently. This role plays a critical part in maintaining employee satisfaction and financial accuracy on a global scale.
You Will
- Be accountable for the performance and results of a team within your own discipline
- Adapt departmental plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges
- Make decisions guided by policies, procedures and business plan in consultation with senior leadership
- Provide technical guidance to vendors, contractors and colleagues
- Be required to have in-depth understanding of concepts, theories and principles in your own discipline and knowledge of other disciplines
- Manage a team of professionals (direct and indirect) and adapt plans and priorities to meet service and/or operational challenges
- Impact the level of service and the team\’s ability to meet quality and timeliness objectives
Requirements
- Bachelor\’s degree in business, accounting, human resources or a related field or equivalent work experience
- 3 years of experience in payroll operations
- 5 years of experience in end‑to‑end payroll operations including multi‑state or global payroll
- Strong project management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and manage cross‑functional stakeholders
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proven experience supporting or managing large‑scale payroll or system transformation projects
- Knowledge of governmental regulations and desire to keep current with future changes
