Role Overview

Are you ready to shape the future of technical and genetic services in the dairy and beef industry? We are looking for a Technical and Genetic Services Manager to lead strategic account management in the UK and NI. You will drive innovative solutions across the region and collaborate with commercial leads, the TAG team and product line managers to design and deliver holistic offerings for strategic and contracted accounts.

You Will

  • Strategic Account Leadership
    • Develop and execute account strategies including segmentation, resource planning, pricing, negotiation and value creation for strategic and contracted accounts.
    • Lead and mentor a team of experts to deliver commercial, genetic and technical solutions.
    • Collaborate with commercial and TAG teams to identify account needs, negotiate offerings and ensure alignment with market objectives.
    • Drive long‑term profitability and market share growth through analytical insights and innovative solutions.
  • Team Development & Collaboration
    • Build and develop the GB and NI SAM and TAG teams, supporting knowledge growth and expertise.
    • Conduct goal setting, performance reviews and create development plans for team members.
    • Foster a collaborative one‑team culture across Genus, connecting diverse teams to deliver solutions.
  • Operational Excellence
    • Analyze account data and market trends to identify opportunities and monitor progress.
    • Work with product line managers to ensure alignment of global and regional strategies and product availability.
    • Manage budgets, expenses and travel for the SAM and TAG teams.
  • Customer Impact & Change Management
    • Build strong sustainable customer relationships, anticipating and exceeding expectations.
    • Respond quickly to environmental changes, leveraging external networks and market knowledge.
    • Lead by example in driving change and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Ability to travel nationally and internationally (up to 50% of the time).
  • Degree in Business, Marketing, Product Management or related discipline; veterinary animal science or agri‑business degree desirable.
  • Proven experience in consultative selling, strategic account management, product allocation, financial modeling and contract strategy.
  • In‑depth knowledge of the dairy industry.
  • Strong selling, negotiation and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to lead cross‑functional teams and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and on‑farm software (e.g., DC 305, BoviSync).
  • Results‑oriented, innovative and adaptable to changing market conditions.
