Our Promar division is looking for a commercially driven Business Development Manager to lead growth across European food, agriculture, and sustainability markets. This is a unique opportunity to combine business development, consultancy leadership, and sector expertise in a role that directly influences Promar's growth strategy across Europe. You will lead a small team of consultants, develop new business opportunities, strengthen client relationships, and ensure the successful delivery of high-value consultancy projects.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Germany-based consultants to deliver exceptional client outcomes.
- Drive new business growth by identifying, pursuing, and converting consultancy opportunities across Europe.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and industry stakeholders across the food, agriculture, and sustainability sectors.
- Oversee consultancy project delivery, ensuring quality, profitability, and client satisfaction.
- Support the development of Promar's European commercial strategy, including market positioning, pricing, and service development.
- Conduct and leverage market research to generate insights that create value for clients and support business growth.
- Represent Promar at industry events, conferences, and client meetings across Germany and Europe.
- Collaborate closely with Promar leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure aligned commercial and operational execution.
- Maintain strong commercial governance across proposals, contracts, project margins, and client engagements.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in business development, commercial leadership, or consultancy within the food, agriculture, agribusiness, or sustainability sectors.
- Strong track record of winning new business and growing client relationships.
- Experience leading and developing teams.
- Experience delivering consultancy projects and managing commercial performance.
- Understanding of agricultural markets, sustainability trends, supply chains, or food production systems would be advantageous.
