We are looking for someone who is passionate about agriculture, understands the value of genetic progress, and thrives in a customer-facing, field-based sales environment to join our team as a Sales and Breeding Advisor. You will be the key point of contact for our customers across Somerset and Devon. You will work directly with progressive farmers, offering tailored genetic solutions and expert breeding advice to help them achieve measurable improvements in herd performance and profitability. Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary advisor for customers, ensuring optimal product and service recommendations to drive genetic gains and farm profitability.
- Identify and pursue new opportunities through strategic prospecting and lead generation.
- Deliver exceptional account management to maintain strong, long‑term relationships with customers.
- Manage your own schedule and customer visits, ensuring consistent field presence across your territory.
- Stay informed on industry trends, biotech innovations, and breeding technologies to support customer success.
- Monitor and identify goals for the reduction of our GHG emissions from our own operations.
- Drive porcine and bovine genetic improvements which support productivity gains and improve feed efficiency, enabling a reduction in the production of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions per unit of milk or meat produced.
- Identify facility and other opportunities for reductions in GHG emissions, consistent with our goals.
- Partner and advocate for policies that advance positive climate goals and identified United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Qualifications
- Background or strong interest in dairy farming, breeding, or animal genetics.
- Proven sales experience in agriculture, biotech, or a related field preferred; but we welcome applicants from other sectors who bring strong consultative selling skills and a passion for the industry.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Self‑motivated, organised, and capable of working independently.
- Based in and happy to travel within the UK.
- Full UK driving licence required.
