You Will
- Effective management of the rota, including utilising 322 cover days efficiently and communicating rotas to teams in a timely manner with a minimum of 6 weeks’ notice
- Providing and arranging cover on the rota as required to manage sickness absence and holidays
- Line management of direct reports including objective setting, appraisals, training and development aligned to the Specialist competency framework
- Training and technical development of new staff, ensuring that they receive appropriate support to be able to fulfil their Specialists roles effectively
- Riding out with Specialists on a regular basis, (with the number of rideouts dependent on individual requirements) supplying technical and practical support to ensure excellent levels of service throughout the team, and following up with constructive feedback
- Collaborating with your RSM, Sales account holder, TAG team and other key stakeholders to undertake and deliver quality reviews for Service customers in the territory, identifying RMS success, value and ways to improve performance further
- Working in partnership with the customers, RMS Specialists and the Technical Service Team to improve reproductive performance through actively reviewing Bovisync data for direct reports
- Taking proactive steps to address any underperformance through involvement in regional quarterly meetings and targeted actions to provide additional support for Specialists and customers as required
- Attending regional Team Leader meetings and supporting and participating in regional team meetings
- With the support of the Regional Service Manager prospecting for new customers to RMS business and seeking out opportunities to promote Genus products and technology solutions, including Ingenuity, and sharing leads with BA’s, Technical service and Sales teams
- Supporting RSMs to implement future business strategies by championing change for the team as required
- Alongside RSM, promoting a positive safety culture by reporting and actioning any health & safety concerns in a timely manner
- Undertaking any other tasks as may be reasonably required by your RSM
Requirements
- Extensive on farm experience required to be able cover on the rota
- Excellent communication skills necessary for building relationships
- A desire to lead and motivate a team
- The ability to work under their own initiative, unsupervised and to make decisions in the best interest of the team
- Excellent interpersonal skills
