We’re hiring a Global Head of Platform Management. You will lead the next phase of how Genus builds, runs and scales its core technology platforms. You’ll shape the strategy and roadmap for the platforms that enable our enterprise products and delivery teams across data, integration, cloud, engineering tools and automation.
In this role you'll turn foundations into performance: a better experience for engineers and business teams, higher reuse, stronger resilience, and a trusted platform base for analytics and AI. You’ll report to the CIO and be a key member of the IT leadership team.
The opportunity includes:
- A clear, prioritised plan for strengthening the platforms that underpin enterprise change.
- A better developer and delivery experience with more self-service and less friction.
- A scalable foundation for data, integration and AI that teams can rely on.
- A disciplined approach to reducing duplication, tool sprawl and cost-to-serve.
Your job is to bring clarity, make the trade-offs, and lead the follow-through.
Why this role:
- Direct impact on delivery and operations. The platforms you shape will reduce friction, improve quality and accelerate change across the business.
- Real transformation. We are evolving our product and platform operating model; you’ll help define what “good” looks like and embed it.
- Global scope, visible outcomes. This is a role where one strong leader can materially improve how an international organisation delivers technology.
- Purpose with substance. Your work supports a business that underpins food security and sustainability worldwide.
You Will:
- Set the platform vision and multi‑year roadmap across data, integration, cloud, engineering enablement and automation.
- Establish clear platform boundaries, service catalogues, standards and reference patterns that teams can adopt easily.
- Improve the developer and delivery experience through standard toolchains, automation, reusable assets and straightforward onboarding.
- Strengthen the foundations for analytics and AI by improving data flows, integration consistency, governance‑enabling capabilities and platform interoperability.
- Drive measurable improvements in adoption, reliability, time‑to‑provision, reuse and cost‑to‑serve.
- Simplify the platform and tooling estate – reducing unmanaged point solutions and retiring low‑value, duplicative services.
- Partner closely with Product Management, Technology & Architecture, Cyber Security, Portfolio and IT Operations to ensure platforms are secure‑by‑design, supportable and aligned to business priorities.
- Build and develop high‑performing platform leadership and specialist teams across engineering, data, cloud, integration and automation.
Requirements:
- Has deep experience building and scaling internal platforms that enable multiple products and teams.
- Has led material improvements in one or more of data platforms, integration platforms, cloud enablement, DevOps/SRE, observability and automation.
- Brings structure and pace to complex environments – you enjoy simplifying, setting standards and driving adoption.
- Uses data to prioritise and manage performance – you define outcomes, baseline, measure and adjust.
- Is confident with senior stakeholders and can translate technical investment into clear business impact and risk reduction.
- Leads inclusively and pragmatically, creating clarity while enabling specialists to do their best work.
- Experience with Microsoft ecosystems (Azure, Power Platform, D365 integration) is helpful; strong cross‑platform enterprise experience is equally valuable.
