Role Overview
We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented person to join us in the role of Genetic Programs Support Specialist to provide exceptional support for our genetic programs.
In this role you will serve as a key liaison between internal teams and third-party data providers.
You will ensure the smooth onboarding, triage and the resolution of support requests, you will also serve as a super user and trainer for internal genetic applications.
You can be based remotely, but if you live near to the Stapeley office you can use it as your base of operation
You Will
- Respond to and resolve inquiries related to genetic programs and associated systems
- Provide first-level troubleshooting and escalate complex issues as needed
- Support customer onboarding and ensure accurate setup in internal platforms
- Coordinate with third-party data providers to maintain seamless data exchange and communication
- Serve as a knowledgeable user of internal genetic applications and tools
- Create and update documentation including user guides, FAQs, and process instructions
- Train internal teams and external partners on software use and best practices
- Collaborate cross-functionally to improve support processes and customer experience
- Continuously learn and adapt to new tools, technologies, and procedures
- Collaborate as one team with the IT Agile delivery teams by engaging with Agile ways of working including daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives and iterative planning, with a drive for continuous improvement
Requirements
- Bachelor\’s Degree in Animal Science, Dairy Science, or equivalent experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong time management and organizational abilities
- Solid problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- High attention to detail
Preferred:
- Technical proficiency with tools such as SQL, Microsoft Office, and R Studio
- Prior experience in animal agriculture or genetic programs
- Experience documenting processes and procedures
- Adaptability in a fast-paced and evolving environment
- Presentation and training skills
- Ability to learn new tools and technologies quickly
- Multilingual proficiency is a plus; English is required
