Genus ABS are currently looking for a Reproduction Management Specialist to deliver reproductive services to customer farms across the Castle Douglas/Newton Stewart area. As a Reproduction Management Specialist, you’ll play a key role in supporting the success of our customers’ herds – building and maintaining strong professional relationships with both teammates and farmers while making a real impact on herd fertility and productivity. You’ll work independently, identifying opportunities, inputting data, and contributing to team results. You Will:

  • Visit customer herds to heat‑detect cows and analyse computer records before artificially inseminating the appropriate animals.
  • Support the farm team to improve fertility within the herd; producing healthier and more productive cows to meet the business goals.
  • Work with colleagues to provide outstanding customer service and animal health and welfare; increasing customer loyalty to Genus ABS' products and services.
  • Make informed decisions based on the genetic plan, animal behaviour and data you have available, identifying solutions and presenting recommendations to improve your personal and team performance.

Requirements:

  • Full driving license.
  • Previous work experience working with livestock or large animals.
  • Happy to work on a rota basis, 7 days a week, including some early starts – perfect if you like quieter mornings and earlier finishes.
  • Shifts are planned at least one month in advance, giving you plenty of time to plan life around work.
  • Ability to work in the UK without the need of visa sponsorship either now or in the future.
