Genus ABS is looking for a Reproduction Management Specialist to deliver reproductive services to customer farms across the Cumbria area. You will support the success of our customers’ herds by building strong professional relationships with both teammates and farmers while making a real impact on herd fertility and productivity. This is a 12‑month Fixed Term Contract.
Responsibilities
- Visit customer herds to heat‑detect cows and analyse computer records before artificially inseminating the appropriate animals.
- Support the farm team to improve fertility within the herd, producing healthier and more productive cows to meet business goals.
- Work with colleagues to provide outstanding customer service and animal health and welfare, increasing customer loyalty to Genus ABS’ products and services.
- Make informed decisions based on the genetic plan, animal behaviour, and data available; identify solutions and present recommendations to improve personal and team performance.
Qualifications
- Full driving licence.
- Previous work experience with livestock or large animals.
- Ready to work on a rota basis, 7 days a week, including some early starts; shifts planned at least one month in advance.
- Ability to work in the UK without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
