Role Overview
The Production Finance Assistant will support the day‑to‑day operations of the finance department, ensuring accurate financial record‑keeping and contributing to efficient financial processes. The ideal candidate will have strong organisational skills, proficiency in accounting software, and a basic understanding of financial principles.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately input financial transactions, including BOMs, product‑level and production setup information, and Capex details.
- Assist in generating detailed financial reports, including cost reports and budget reconciliations.
- Support preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Maintain organised financial records and documentation in line with company policies and compliance requirements.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities by gathering and organising financial data.
- Collaborate with production managers and department heads to ensure financial alignment and support budget management.
- Seek opportunities to improve efficiency and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Undertake additional duties as required and appropriate to the level of the role.
Skills and Experience
- Previous experience in finance or accounting.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organisational and time‑management skills.
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, or equivalent) and MS Office, especially Excel.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem‑solving skills.
- Willingness to travel to other company sites.
