Role Overview
Reporting directly to the Fabrication Senior Team Leader, the Fabrication Operators will be a motivated self-starter whilst working as part of a team.
They will be responsible for the safe running of Fabrication machines and ensure production is maintained at the highest quality and that production targets are maintained to the highest level.
Safety will be your number one priority – actively contributing to a no harm culture through leading by example, delivering high standards of cleanliness and reliability around the production machines.
This is a full time position, working Monday to Friday 08:00-16:30.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all tasks are carried out to the Safe Systems of Work (SSo W) provided by the management.
- At all times have available in the work area and use the correct Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for the tasks you are carrying out.
- Only operate equipment which you have been trained to operate.
- Record information and data to ensure machine efficiency.
- Communicate with the Engineers and Senior Team Leaders to ensure problems are escalated and reported using the job card system to prioritise workload.
- At all times keep in mind the Company’s Guiding Principles and Values.
- Inform your supervisor of any suggestions that you have to improve things in your area.
- Work to build and maintain strong working relationships with your internal customers.
Skills And Experience
- Previous experience of working within a manufacturing environment
- Attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Previous experience of using and achieving KPIs / performance measures
- Working to tight deadlines and prioritising workload Able to accurately complete paperwork
- Must be process and solution driven
- Must consider all sides/options uncovering root cause
- To be flexible in the way you think, making decisions efficiently and handling change to ensure everything we do is right
