We are looking for a proactive and skilled Injection Moulding Technician to support the efficient production of high-quality products in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on role where you will play a key part in maintaining performance, quality, and safety standards while supporting continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set and operate injection moulding machines and nailers to required cycle times
- Carry out efficient tool changes to minimise downtime
- Monitor product quality and resolve processing/tooling issues
- Maintain stock levels of raw materials (PP, masterbatch, nails)
- Support packing operations and respond to machine breakdowns
- Ensure shop floor standards are maintained in line with 5S
- Complete safety, QC, and production documentation
- Support and train Production Shift Assistants
- Cover Lead Technician duties when required
Skills & Requirements:
- The successful candidate must have proven experience processing injection moulding machines. This is not a trainee position, so you must be fully competent and qualified in machine processing and tool changes.
- Strong understanding of health & safety standards
- Forklift truck licence (or willing to obtain)
- Organised, quality-focused, and able to work under pressure
- Positive, team-oriented attitude with strong problem-solving skills
Working Hours & Benefits:
- Circa £35,000 per annum
- Optional weekend overtime
- Monday - Friday, 3 shifts (6-2, 2-10, 10-6)
- 25 days Annual Leave plus Bank Holidays
- Contributory pension scheme
