Polypipe Building Products are focused on delivering solutions to the residential sector. Polypipe Building Products works with national and local developers, plumbing and heating engineers, general builders and groundworkers to deliver above and below ground drainage systems, rainwater solutions as well as hot and cold plastic plumbing products.

Role: This position is responsible for maximising the utilisation of the Polypipe Fleet through efficient planning of deliveries and collections as well as maximised utilisation of Polypipe drivers in line with current driver’s hours and WTD legislation.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday weekly rotating shifts - 7:00am - 3:00pm and 11:00am - 7:00pm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and co-ordinate the efficient despatch to meet customer requirements.
  • Deal daily with customer collections.
  • Load build using DIPS planning software.
  • Printing, picking and printing delivery notes.
  • Debriefing Drivers.
  • Report all accidents and incidents and complete follow up investigations where necessary.
  • Implement any recommendations and improvements arising from those investigations.
  • Ensure activities are carried out whilst complying with all measures introduced by the company with respect to Health, Safety and the Environment.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Reliable and punctual.
  • Team player.
  • Have experience of using transport planning software, either Dips, DPS or Paragon.
  • Computer literate – good knowledge of MS office packages.
  • IFS experience would be advantageous.
  • Positive work ethic.
