Polypipe Building Products are focused on delivering solutions to the residential sector. We work with national and local developers, plumbing and heating engineers, general builders and groundworkers to deliver above and below ground drainage systems, rainwater solutions as well as hot and cold plastic plumbing products.

Role: The Material Handler is responsible for the safe, accurate, and timely movement of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods to support continuous moulding operations. This role ensures correct material supply to machines and upholds housekeeping and health & safety standards within the factory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supply moulding machines with the correct materials according to production schedules and work instructions
  • Remove finished products, scrap, and regrind from moulding areas as required
  • Refill dryers, hoppers, and material feed systems safely and correctly
  • Work in accordance with all SSW’s and maintain a clean and tidy work environment
  • Develop own knowledge of materials and the differences between them
  • Comply with all Health & Safety requirements
  • Operate material handling equipment such as FLT, PPT and OHC
  • Maintain a positive work ethic and excellent timekeeping

Skills & Experience:

  • Good knowledge of all materials used and how they require processing
  • Understand the material conveyance system and its controls
  • Set up with required material
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety and Environmental standards for self and others in line with training

Working Hours & Benefits:

  • Monday to Friday on rotational shift, 6am - 2pm, 2pm - 10pm, 10pm - 6am
