Polypipe Building Products are focused on delivering solutions to the residential sector. We work with national and local developers, plumbing and heating engineers, general builders and groundworkers to deliver above and below ground drainage systems, rainwater solutions as well as hot and cold plastic plumbing products.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for General Operatives to join our company and work in the Assembly team at our Neale Road site in DN2.

Role: A position has become available for General Operatives to join the team and ensure the manufactured products meet the required quality standards, maintain and facilitate the removal and packaging of the production from the machine.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Running the machines, assembling product, packing fittings.
  • Operating automatic assembly equipment and bagging machines to assemble and pack plumbing fittings.
  • Manually assembling fittings at high speed.
  • Using Ultrasonic Welding machines to fuse cold water fittings.
  • Checking products to ensure they are assembled correctly and of the best quality.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Ideally have previously worked in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent timekeeping and good communication skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative and a positive work ethic.

Working Hours & Benefits:

  • 3 shift rotation Monday - Friday 6:00am-2:00pm / 2:00pm-10:00pm / 10:00pm-6:00am.
