ADEY, the market leader in the provision of residential water treatment products for closed loop heating and cooling systems in the UK, is looking for a Continuous Improvement Practitioner to join the team. Part of the Genuit Groups’ Climate Management Solutions (CMS) business unit, ADEY has ambitious growth plans to continue protecting the world's heating and cooling systems, to have a positive impact on the environment and people's lives.

The Role

As the Continuous Improvement Practitioner you’ll be the Genuit Business Systems continuous improvement practitioner for ADEY. You will work closely with the operations teams, supporting and empowering teams to work smarter and more effectively. By championing the Genuit Business System (GBS) - its tools, techniques, and behaviours - you will help colleagues identify better ways of working and embed continuous improvement into everyday activity.

Note – the Genuit Business System (GBS) is a continually improving set of companywide standardised tools encompassing all areas of business and focused around lean principles, designed to drive growth, efficiency and people development across the business.

Responsibilities

  • You will be part of our GBS team, supporting each other and moving forward together.
  • Provide support and advice around continuous improvement within the operations functions as the subject matter expert.
  • Working closely with the wider GBS team to ensure CI objectives are being delivered throughout the business.
  • Support teams in following agreed standards, routines and visual management practices.
  • Collaborating across teams you’ll run and support GBS activities and events.
  • You will support and coach colleagues to foster a continuous improvement culture.

  • You will take ownership of your role and deliver results.
  • Support the delivery of continuous improvement roadmap by coordinating and executing events.
  • Implementation of process improvements using defined process improvement methodologies.
  • Develop and monitor KPIs to demonstrate improvement off the back of CI activities.
  • You’ll champion GBS and advocate it as “the way we work.”

  • Identification of where efficiencies, waste reduction and optimisation can be made to improve flow through the facility.
  • Responding to daily challenges you’ll lead root cause analysis workshops and following the completion of corrective and preventative actions.

The Person

  • Awareness of the impact that inefficiencies have on internal and external customers experience.
  • Enthusiastic about the team and able to anticipate issues and problem solve in a fast-paced changing environment.
  • Project management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365, particularly Excel, with strong analytical and data-driven thinking.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to support and encourage colleagues.
  • Resilient, positive, and able to help teams stay engaged and on task during structured sessions.
  • Exposure to Lean, six sigma or other improvement methodologies (desirable).
