ADEY, the market leader in the provision of residential water treatment products for closed loop heating and cooling systems in the UK, is looking for a Commercial Specification Manager to join the team. Part of the Genuit Groups’ Climate Management Solutions (CMS) business unit, ADEY has ambitious growth plans to continue protecting the world's heating and cooling systems, to have a positive impact on the environment and people's lives.

The Role

As Regional Specification Manager for the South of England, you will be responsible for driving specification sales through strategic engagement with M&E consultants, specifiers, and key stakeholders in the commercial building services sector. You will promote ADEY’s commercial product portfolio, ensuring inclusion in project specifications and supporting the full sales cycle from design to installation.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with M&E consultants, specifiers, and design engineers across the region.
  • Secure specification of ADEY Commercial products in new build and retrofit projects.
  • Deliver CPD presentations and technical training to consultants and design teams.
  • Collaborate with the internal sales and technical teams to support project delivery and ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Monitor regional market trends, competitor activity, and project pipelines to identify opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate records in CRM and provide regular reporting on specification activity and project status.
  • Represent ADEY at industry events, exhibitions, and networking forums.

The Person

Essential:

  • Proven experience in specification sales within the commercial HVAC, water treatment, or building services sector.
  • Strong technical understanding of commercial heating systems and water quality.
  • Demonstrated ability to create non-breakable specifications and contribute to plant room design that ensures compliance and performance.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and manage a regional territory.
  • Full UK driving licence.

Desirable:

  • Existing network of contacts within M&E consultancy firms in the South of England.
  • Familiarity with BIM, CIBSE guidelines, and relevant building regulations.
  • Experience delivering CPDs and technical seminars.
