Overview
Genuine English is a UK-based company providing online and on-site English language lessons to help non-native speakers of English communicate effectively. We specialise in assisting non-native English speakers to become proficient users of the language through engaging lessons where students speak at least 70% of the time. Our highly experienced tutors design personalised lessons catered to each student\'s goals. We serve both businesses and individual students with competitive rates for professional tutoring, offering one-to-one and group classes.
We are creating a business which works as well for teachers as it does for students. We pay our teachers well and also pay for 30 minutes of preparation/administration time for each lesson they deliver (rates vary depending on contract). For on-site classes we also pay a small amount towards travel expenses.
Please note: Our teachers work as subcontractors and handle their own tax returns. We do not have full-time or part-time positions. The teaching jobs we offer can supplement other work you are doing either in international schools, as a freelancer, etc. but should not be considered as your only revenue stream. Our contracts are casual and short term and we do not guarantee hours. We hope to change that in the future as our company grows.
Role Description
We are looking for EFL/ESOL teachers based in the UK to deliver on-site/online classes as subcontractors on a casual basis. We are a small company and cannot guarantee hours. Our goal is offer an outstanding service to our students by paying a fair price for teaching work and supporting teachers where possible.
Requirements:
- 2 years\' experience in Teaching English as a Foreign Language
- Recognised teaching qualification such as CELTA or TESOL
- A recent DBS certificate/update service or equivalent.
- Skills in lesson planning and preparing lessons for different levels
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
