Job Description
Assistant Manager Empty Homes Team
Were thrilled to offer a fantastic opportunity to join our Empty Homes team as an Assistant Manager on a 6-month fixed-term basis.
In this role, you\\\’ll lead and support teams to deliver high-quality outcomes on empty properties, driving performance and productivity within a culture of continuous improvement. This is a great opportunity to use your experience to contribute to meaningful work that improves homes and communities.
Working a 36-hour week, Monday to Friday, we value flexibility, and occasional overtime may be required to meet business needs.
A full UK driving licence is essential for this position.
Key Responsibilities Will Include
- Support teams to complete work first time and on schedule.
- Plan efficient work sequences for empty property teams.
- Champion a Value for Money approach across all operations.
- Ensure all works comply with Health & Safety legislation and standards.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement.
- Drive performance and ensure targets are met.
- Provide effective on-site management and technical support.
- Conduct building inspections, including outbuildings and gardens.
- Follow specifications set by specialist surveyors.
- Oversee and manage subcontractors to meet deadlines.
- Coordinate asbestos testing and site management.
- Liaise with Local Housing Management to ensure timely property allocation.
- Manage utility and energy supply coordination.
- Supervise compliance trades.

Recent experience in social housing repairs and maintenance.
Strong knowledge of Health & Safety regulations.
