Maintenance Person - Birmingham JOB DESCRIPTION Are you a hands-on problem solver with a knack for keeping things running smoothly?

Do you take pride in maintaining safe, functional spaces and enjoy a varied day-to-day routine?

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a proactive and reliable Maintenance Person to join our team.

You'll be responsible for ensuring our building is safe, compliant, and well-maintained, while supporting the wider team with essential operational tasks.

The role is Monday to Friday 7 am - 3 pm during probation and 6 am - 2 pm post-probation.

Key skills and responsibilities include: A practical thinker who solves problems creatively and efficiently.

Identifying and resolving health & safety issues around the building.

Cost-conscious approach to repairs and supplies for in-house jobs.

Clear and professional communication, both verbal and written.

Highly organised with strong prioritisation skills.

Ideally qualified in a trade (e. g. plumbing, electrical, carpentry).

Your day-to-day will include: Opening the building and welcoming staff and engineers.

Conducting daily building and fire safety checks.

Completing and maintaining H&S paperwork to ensure compliance.

Supporting audit walks with external bodies (e. g.

EHO).

Weekly fire alarm and emergency lighting tests.

Legionella checks, including water flushing and boiler monitoring.

Receiving and checking deliveries, stock rotation and storage.

Beer line cleaning and basic cellar maintenance.

Escorting and assisting engineers on-site.

PPE and ladder inspections.

Occasionally supporting other casino sites or sourcing materials externally.
