To be an effective member of the Hospitality Team ensuring an exceptional standard of customer care, whilst adhering to all company procedures in line with the company’s Food Policy and current Health & Hygiene regulations.
Responsible for the preparation of all menu items in accordance with company standards.
Key skills and responsibilities include
- To prepare, cook and present food to the required Company standards whilst adhering to approved recipes, and ensuring that correct cooking methods are followed at all times.
- To work cleanly, safely and hygienically at all times.
- To check food products received and to store according to company procedure.
- To ensure that food is stored correctly and stock rotation procedures are followed at all times.
- To be responsible for correct portion control, minimising wastage as appropriate.
- To comply with all Health and Safety and Hygiene regulations and Company Health and Safety policies including COSHH and food handling procedures.
- To be able to use all kitchen equipment safely and effectively.
- To report all faulty equipment, machinery and utensils to the duty manager.
- To complete general duties as specified by Team Leader/Duty Manager
- To be responsible for setting up operating equipment as per standard set up for all working areas
- Ensure completion of relevant paperwork
- Always ensure BOH areas are compliant with food safety legislation and company procedures.
- Adopt a clean as you go policy with attention to detail.
- To ensure dishwashing is maintained and cluttery is kept to a minimum in back of house areas also by adopting a clean as you go policy with attention to detail.
- To ensure that the daily, weekly and monthly cleaning schedules are adhered to according to company procedures.
- To demonstrate excellent customer service skills, putting the customer first at all times.
- To recognise the importance of team work and group dynamics, building and maintaining effective working relationships within the team.
- To ensure that opening and closing is followed according to company policy.
- To have the ability to communicate in an appropriate manner with all colleagues and customers ensuring that effective communication exists across relevant departments.
- To pass on all relevant information at shift changeovers.
- To always project the company in a positive manner to both customers and colleagues.
- To adopt a flexible approach to the work of the team and adapt to changing priorities, shifts and procedures in order to meet the requirements of the business
- To carry out any other duties that may be reasonably requested from time to time.
Working hours:16 hours per week on Friday and Saturdays only. 5pm – 1am.
