Are you a hands-on problem solver with a knack for keeping things running smoothly? Do you take pride in maintaining safe, functional spaces and enjoy a varied day-to-day routine? A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a part-time proactive and reliable Maintenance Person to join our team. You’ll be responsible for ensuring our building is safe, compliant, and well-maintained.
Key skills and responsibilities include:
- A practical thinker who solves problems creatively and efficiently.
- Identifying and resolving health & safety issues around the building.
- Cost-conscious approach to repairs and supplies for in-house jobs.
- Clear and professional communication, both verbal and written.
- Highly organised with strong prioritisation skills.
- Ideally qualified in a trade (e.g. plumbing, electrical, carpentry).
Your day-to-day will include:
- Conducting daily building and fire safety checks.
- Completing and maintaining H&S paperwork to ensure compliance.
- Supporting audit walks with external bodies (e.g. EHO).
- Weekly fire alarm and emergency lighting tests.
- Legionella checks, including water flushing and boiler monitoring.
- Receiving and checking deliveries, stock rotation and storage.
- Beer line cleaning and basic cellar maintenance.
- Escorting and assisting engineers on-site.
- PPE and ladder inspections.
