We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical individual to join us as a Commodity Trader Intern for our London office. This internship program will run for 3 to 6 months and offers hands-on exposure to the world of physical and paper trading. Interns will have the opportunity to gain invaluable industry experience, develop essential trading skills, and work alongside experienced professionals in a fast-paced environment. Outstanding interns may be considered for a full-time trading position in London upon successful completion of the internship.
Salary:
- Internship: £5,000 per month
- Full-time position (post-internship): £7,000 per month, and year-end bonus based on performance.
Responsibilities:
- Curate and maintain an extensive database of information relevant to assigned commodities.
- Conduct in-depth research and analysis, preparing insightful reports on market trends and developments.
- Cultivate and expand upstream and downstream resources, establishing robust procurement and sales channels.
- Develop and implement innovative commodity futures and financial derivatives hedging strategies, overseeing position management.
- Undertake additional ad-hoc tasks as required, contributing to the dynamic nature of commodity trading.
Requirements:
- Students in their final year and recent graduates from esteemed institutions are strongly encouraged to apply, no experience required.
- Fluent in English, and proficiency in French is considered a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with excellent language proficiency and communication abilities.
