Gensler's London Office is seeking an exceptionally talented and passionate Chartered Landscape Architect to join our team of design thinkers and doers who specialise in helping to tell stories and create experiences in the context of the built environment. You will work in a multi-disciplinary studio that includes landscape and urban designers, strategists, architects and interior designers. The project types within the studio range between large scale masterplanning, hospitality and entertainment facilities, adaptive reuse and all forms of urban green strategies.

As a Chartered Landscape Architect, you are innovative and passionate, with amazing concept schemes and a strong understanding of technical delivery. Knowledge of planting and specifications, with experience in the UK and internationally, is essential to the role. Candidates should be responsible and accountable for the delivery of their project work with strong communication skills when liaising with clients and other consultants.

  • Proven professional experience within multi-disciplined offices or projects.
  • Strong technical skills demonstrable within a varied portfolio.
  • Creative with excellent organisational abilities to manage a variety of different projects.
  • Experience of a range of projects from small scale architecturally led schemes to large scale and complex regeneration plans is desirable.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to lead teams within the office.
  • Ability to work constructively and collaboratively with other design disciplines and project stakeholders.
  • Experience and knowledge of Concept Design through to Construction Documentation is essential.
  • Extensive knowledge of planting and soft landscape specifications.
  • Work closely with Directors and project team to ensure timely delivery of high quality deliverables.

Your Qualifications:

  • UK Chartered Landscape Architect.
  • Good understanding of UK and International design standards, requirements and design processes.
  • High level verbal, written and graphic communication skills including freehand sketching and industry standard software, including Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, Rhino, Grasshopper; knowledge of Revit is a key skill.
  • Team spirit with a strong sense of personal responsibility and dedication to work and the success of the team.
  • Proactive approach to progress design by seeking new ways to innovate, grow the business and inspire the team.
  • Experience of project delivery and UK implementation is desirable.
  • Background in horticulture is desirable.
