Genpower is the UK & Eire Distributor for Hyundai Power Products and the exclusive worldwide licensee for JCB Tools. Headquartered in Pembroke Dock with a major distribution presence in Newport, we manage an extensive portfolio including P1 Power Equipment, Evopower and Gardentek. We support a network of global dealers and direct-to-consumer channels, ensuring that world‑class machinery stays on the job.

Due to continued expansion, we are looking for a skilled Workshop Mechanic to join our technical team.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Fault Finding & Repair: Working on electrical power tools, 2‑stroke and 4‑stroke petrol products, and diesel engines. This includes inspecting customer returns to determine if the fault is a warranty issue or user‑related fault.
  • Refurbishment: Checking over 14‑day returns, repairing and refurbishing for resale.
  • Digital Job Cards: Using a tablet to log your repairs and update job cards.
  • Parts & Quality: Working with our parts team to get the components you need and flagging any common defects you find to the quality team.
  • Safety: Working in line with all health and safety requirements.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience: 2+ years in a mechanical environment (small engines, garden machinery, automotive, tools or similar).
  • Work Ethic: Able to work under your own initiative and demonstrate a positive attitude to work.
  • Tech Basics: Comfortable using a tablet for daily logging of work.
