As we grow our teams to meet our customer needs we are looking for a Warehouse Operative. This is a fast-paced factory-based role, managing day-to-day requirements of the warehouse, making sure the right things get to the right places at the right time. The role holder would need to be open to a rotating shift pattern including night shifts, as well as early and late daytime shifts.
Main responsibilities:
- Raw Material Stock Management
- Unloading deliveries and checking for damaged/missing items
- Organising stock efficiently to maximise space and minimise stock movement
- Completing regular cycle counts
- Picking raw material for internal order requests and delivering to the correct line locations
- Completing system transactions accurately and efficiently
- Picking and packing external customer orders
- Operating Manual Handling Equipment, Counterbalance, Reach trucks
- Maintaining safe and clean working environment
- Adhering to company Health & Safety Regulations
Experience and skills needed:
- Fork truck/ Reach truck (preferred but training can be provided)
- Health and Safety – demonstrate the ability to work safely both independently and as part of a team with minimum supervision.
- Customer-focused – prompt and appropriate communication with internal customers, developing professional relationships.
- Team working – co-operate and collaborate effectively across departments/teams and functions.
- Good work ethic
- Meet Gen Phoenix’s Quality and SHE (HS&E) policies and targets in day-to-day activities
