Position: Java Developer within the Treasury Technology department in the Finance Technology space at our Investment Banking division.
Location: Glasgow, UK.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and enhancement of FRPPE systems ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability within the Treasury Technology domain.
- Collaborate with Treasury and Finance stakeholders, as well as cross-functional teams, to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.
- Mentor and guide a team of developers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.
- Drive technical strategy and architecture decisions in alignment with Treasury business goals.
- Integrate advanced tools and technologies including Java, Scala, Axiom, Python, and GenAI as an add-on to enhance capabilities.
- Ensure adherence to best practices in coding, testing, and deployment, maintaining high standards of quality.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend innovative solutions.
Qualifications we seek in you!
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications/ Skills
- 8-12 years of experience in software development within the investment banking or financial services industry, specifically in Treasury or related areas.
- Strong expertise in Java, full-stack development, and Spark Scala.
- Experience in Axiom is an addon preferred skills.
- Hands-on experience with Axiom for risk and finance calculations.
- Proficiency in Python programming for automation, data analysis, or system integration.
- Experience with Generative AI technologies and their application in financial systems is highly desirable.
- Solid understanding of Treasury products, risk management, and pricing engines.
- Proven experience in leading technical teams and managing complex projects.
