Inviting applications for the role of Process Developer/Domain Trainee/Management Trainee/Assistant Manager – London Market Underwriting!
In this role, you will be responsible for leading teams and service level targets for the P&C Insurance Business. Facilitating goal-level creation for the team in line with Business goals and working with managers to ensure the goals cascade to all associates. You will be encouraged to focus on the Business goals and challenges and know how to seek these using analytics and technology.
Responsibilities- Knowledge of Market Reform Contract (Slip), its sections and details such as written line, Sign Line etc., as well as carrier-generated policy documentation.
- Exposure to London Market (Company and Bureau markets) is preferable.
- Lead teams and service level targets. Provide mentorship to direct reports, comprised of Domain Experts and Assistant Managers.
- Monitor, analyze, and report on trends in the key underwriting performance drivers.
- Lead weekly/monthly/quarterly discussions on operations with UK partners.
- Understand risks faced by the function and the controls in place to balance and mitigate the risks.
- Ensure clarity around priorities and goals for the entire functional area.
- Ability to function effectively in a team environment, exercising good judgment.
- Work with senior management and other peers for strategy development and execution planning.
- Approve hiring and redeployment requests within the group.
- Minimum Qualifications: Graduate in any stream except Technical. Should have end-to-end knowledge of the Underwriting lifecycle. Must demonstrate and further customer focus, partnership, accountability, initiative, and innovation.
- Preferred Qualifications/Skills: Certification on one of the streams i.e., CII London (ALMI, FIT or Cert CII or equivalent) or AINS, CPCU certification. Ability to think long-term strategically and operationally. High customer service orientation. Excellent interpersonal skills with full understanding of UK insurance Underwriting and claims cycle dynamics and Lloyd’s market. Excellent written and verbal English. Strong statistical knowledge. Highly motivated and achievement oriented.
