In this role, the leader will be responsible for driving Genpact's Finance and M&A Advisory practice, providing advisory services to regional and global clients across finance transformation and M&A execution. The position exists to strengthen the firm's reputation and enable growth through exceptional thinking and delivery excellence. The individual will help win and deliver new engagements, coach and mentor account teams to move up the value chain and provide deep consulting expertise to clients in the Finance and Accounting domain. The role uniquely combines consulting excellenceâthrough strong project management and client engagementâwith operational depth in finance, M&A processes and analytics ensuring measurable results and impactful client outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Bring industry knowledge, worldâclass consulting capabilities, innovation and groundâbreaking technology to clients for their global F&A functions, including in M&A situations.
- Execute projects to deliver outcomes for clients across their finance & M&A agendas â e.g., strategy, operations, enterprise performance management, separation & integration strategy and execution, valueâcreation planning and delivery.
- Bring upâtoâdate thinking on emerging technology and modern operating models to translate into offerings and outcomes for clients.
- Contribute to developing and executing on the domestic and global strategy for the consulting practice â IP development, delivery assurance toolkits and frameworks, knowledge management, offerings development.
- Provide Genpact demonstrable depth in finance consulting and M&A situation requirements.
- Help win and deliver on new deals.
- Coach and mentor existing account teams to move along the service value chain.
- Provide consulting depth to customers in the F&A & M&A space.
- Drive the reputation of the practice and enable growth through quality of thinking and delivery excellence.
- Blend consulting and operational skills and be accountable for results.
- Engage with practice organization, technology teams and partners, business development teams, regional and global operations teams, client stakeholders and external partners.
- Drive key initiatives such as growth, brand strength, building efficient and effective practice infrastructure, and scaling partnerships.
Qualifications we seek in you
- CA / MBA optional
- M&A, finance strategy and systems experience. Depth in a topic or industry advantageous.
- Excellent communication â verbal and written
- Consultative selling expertise
- Consulting project delivery â timeline and landmark management, senior partner relationship management
- Creative thinking and innovative attitude
- Strong eye for business and understanding of business issues across multiple focus sectors
- Ability to engage senior client management on offerings, emerging issues in focus sectors, lead project scope discussions and provide insightful recommendations
- Understanding of the M&A spectrum
- Judgement and personal efficiency
- Prior solutioning and consulting experience
- Handsâon experience of preâdeal strategy through to postâdeal execution e.g. integration & separation, value creation, private equity transactions etc.
- Global perspective and understanding of the business marketplace
- Ability to develop and apply creative, workable solutions to projectârelated issues
