The Opportunity: We are at a transformative point in our Applied Advisory business and are building industry-specific capabilities in Life Sciences. Therefore, we are inviting applications for Senior Manager, Applied Advisory – Life Sciences.
The Role: Our Applied Advisory team is the client-facing “tip of the spear” for all Genpact service offerings, helping leaders across our Life Sciences client portfolio to create and deliver value and impact every day. As a senior manager, you will be responsible for diagnosing key challenges, shaping transformative solutions using Genpact’s Advisory, Data, Tech, and AI capabilities, and delivery/execution of the associated projects, ultimately enabling business impact, client satisfaction, and account growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Consulting Delivery & Client Advisory: Leverage your expertise in Life Sciences-specific data, analytics, technology, and AI platforms, to provide recommendations that can transform a client’s current state model to deliver incremental business value (specific expertise in sales/commercial operations would be an advantage).
- Analyze a clients’ operating model and business processes to craft solutions that strengthen its sustainable competitive advantage.
- Evaluate defining target segments, channel mix, and value proposition.
- Bring a working knowledge of enabling function business processes (esp. Finance & Accounting, Procurement, HR) to pinpoint challenges, identify opportunities and define solutions that will accelerate process and digital maturity for the client.
- Manage complex consulting delivery projects and initiatives across a broad range of functional domains (e.g. Finance & Accounting, Commercial, Supply Chain Management, Procurement) - with primary focus on operating model design, data/tech/AI transformation, business case evaluation.
- Apply your experience to guide clients through a transformation journey with the goal of becoming a trusted advisor.
- Build robust business cases that demonstrate value through efficiency and streamlining.
Business Development:
- Focus on conversion of Phase 1 projects into subsequent phase wins by building strong client rapport through demonstrated industry expertise and delivery excellence.
- Leverage industry domain knowledge to lead/collaborate closely with the LS Advisory team on sales pursuits, proposals, RFPs, and presentations to secure new business.
Thought Leadership:
- Take the lead in developing points of view (POVs) in collaboration with other industry and functional experts across the broader Genpact consulting community, ensuring proactive outreach and client engagement that can generate conversations and proposal opportunities.
- Maintain an unwavering focus on project delivery while consistently keeping business development activities in view.
Team Leadership:
- Lead cross-functional teams comprising Genpact, client, and alliance-partner members, uniting them into one cohesive delivery unit.
- Work seamlessly within Genpact’s broader operations, technology, data, and consulting ecosystem to maximize enterprise capabilities.
- Strong project management experience. Seamless & timely internal and external reporting. Identify stakeholder issues and have a point of view on resolution.
- Run effective workshops with multiple groups. Strong facilitation and problem-solving skills.

- Command the room with strong presentation abilities in both in-person and virtual settings.
- Maintain a strategic perspective while ensuring accuracy and meticulous attention to detail.

Ideal Qualification for ~ Commercial Data Domain:
- Experience delivering consulting or transformation work in a client-centric setting across a broad spectrum of projects.
- Adaptability to work on a wide range of projects: Sales & Commercial, Finance & Accounting, Supply Chain Management, etc. with a focus on operating model, business case evaluation, data/tech/AI.
- Working knowledge of core F&A processes, GCC, GBS, Managed Services specifically in the Life Sciences industry.
- Ability to consult in the pharmaceutical commercial data space: Commercial excellence, sales excellence, omnichannel management, launch excellence, HCP and patient engagement, sales forecasting, commercial data management.
- Understanding of GDPR and privacy rules.
