Job Description:
- General Ledger Accounting: Perform and review general ledger postings to ensure accuracy and completeness. Prepare and post journal entries (accruals, prepayments, adjustments, etc.) in line with accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS). Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts monthly.
- Month-End & Year-End Closing: Support the timely and accurate execution of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes. Prepare financial schedules and reconciliations required for closing and reporting. Ensure cut-off procedures are followed and entries are properly documented.
- Fixed Asset Accounting: Maintain and update fixed asset registers, including capitalization, depreciation, and disposals. Conduct periodic asset audits and ensure compliance with internal policies.
- Intercompany Accounting: Handle intercompany transactions, reconciliations, and settlements. Ensure all intercompany balances are aligned across entities and properly recorded.
- Balance Sheet Reconciliations: Prepare and review balance sheet account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies. Ensure appropriate supporting documentation and explanations are in place.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing internal and external financial reports, management reports, and variance analyses. Provide data and insights for statutory reporting, audit requirements, and internal reviews.
- Audit & Compliance Support: Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations. Ensure accounting processes comply with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
- Process Improvement & Standardization: Identify inefficiencies in R2R processes and recommend improvements. Support initiatives related to automation, ERP enhancements, and reporting tool upgrades. Maintain updated process documentation and SOPs.
- Collaboration & Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with other finance teams such as Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, FP&A, and Tax. Liaise with business units and external auditors as needed.
