Role Purpose

As our Business Operations Manager, you will be a strategic lead responsible for the operational design and commercial scalability of Genomics’ Life Sciences business. This role sits in between science, finance, and commerce, ensuring that our scientific capabilities are translated into sustainable commercial success. You will own the operational roadmap, drive financial predictability, and optimise the deployment of our team.

A Day in the Life

  • Resource Management: Design and oversee the resource‑allocation framework to ensure the optimal deployment of scientists across global partner programs.
  • Financial Stewardship: Provide executive‑level financial reporting, P&L insight, and demand‑based forecasting to the leadership team.
  • Deal Architecture: Provide high‑level support for complex proposals, pricing models, and contract negotiations with top‑tier BioPharma partners.
  • Performance Intelligence: Own the definition and monitoring of departmental KPIs, utilising data to pivot strategy and drive continuous margin improvement.

  • Industry Expertise: Extensive background in business operations, management consulting, or commercial leadership within the Biotech, Pharma, or Life Sciences sectors.
  • Strategic Mindset: Proven ability to move from high‑level strategic concepts to operational execution.
  • Analytical Rigour: Expert‑level proficiency in data interpretation, financial modelling, and CRM systems to drive decision‑making.
  • Influencing Power: Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to influence PhD‑level scientists and C‑suite executives alike.
