We also equip researchers to find the causes of disease and develop new treatments – with patients and participants at the heart of it all.\\n\\nOur mission is to continue refining, scaling, and evolving our ability to enable others to deliver genomic healthcare and conduct genomic research.\\n\\nWe are accelerating our impact and working with patients, doctors, scientists, government and industry to improve genomic testing, and help researchers access the health data and technology they need to make new medical discoveries and create more effective, targeted medicines for everybody.\\n\\nJob Description\\n\\nWhat you’ll be doing: \\n\\nWorking alongside a Solution Architect to think through, design and enable the future facing research cohorts end to end \\nWriting clean, scalable Python code, following engineering best practices \\nDeveloping working solutions to enable processing of long read data, including future facing solutions in AWS  \\nDesigning and maintaining services on AWS, with a focus on resilience and performance \\nWorking on distributed systems that handle big data processing at scale \\nBuilding and evolving our test automation frameworks \\nTroubleshooting issues, working closely with colleagues \\nStaying up to date with the latest tools, libraries and tech approaches \\nUsing GitLab, Jira, and Confluence to work effectively in a modern agile setup What you’ll bring: \\n\\nStrong Python skills and experience building scalable backend services \\nHands-on experience with AWS, microservice architectures, and containerised environments \\nExperience working on data-heavy or distributed systems \\nFamiliarity with agile delivery and test-driven development \\nSelf-sufficiency combined with a collaborative mindset and openness to learning from others Nice to have: \\n\\nExperience with big data tools (e.g. Spark, AWS Glue, or similar) \\nStrong grasp of code review best practices \\nSome knowledge of JavaScript \\nCloud Migration/AWS knowledge \\nUnderstanding/experience working with orchestration and data flows \\nSolution building expertise \\n\\nQualifications\\n\\nBSc in Computer Science or equivalent experience\\n\\nAdditional Information\\n\\nSalary from: £71,500\\n\\nBeing an integral part of such a meaningful mission is extremely rewarding in itself, but in order to support our people, we’re continually improving our benefits package.
