You will bring clarity, structure, and momentum to complex projects, helping teams work together effectively and ensuring strong governance across a diverse portfolio. Alongside leading a major ITSM/CMDB transformation programme (70 %), you will help bring consistency, visibility, and direction across the wider CTPO portfolio (30 %), supporting delivery that is thoughtful, well-governed, and impactful.

Responsibilities

  • Manage complex projects end to end, ensuring successful delivery, by managing planning, reporting, and end-to-end risk and issue management with a structured, and consistent approach.
  • Build strong, trusted relationships with senior leaders, Service Management, Product, Service Design and suppliers to enable effective collaboration and shared outcomes.
  • Provide oversight across the CTPO portfolio, strengthening governance, improving visibility and supporting informed decision-making.
  • Coordinate programme and governance boards, ensuring reporting, escalation and updates are clear, timely, and transparent for all stakeholders.

Skills and experience for success

  • Experience leading complex projects in large, matrixed environments.
  • A collaborative approach and the ability to build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and executive leaders.
  • A strong track record of delivering end-to-end programmes that create meaningful and lasting impact.
  • Confidence in setting up and managing project governance, and risk management across complex delivery environments.
  • The ability to bring structure, clarity and calm to fast-moving and evolving portfolios.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to turn complexity into clear and useful insight for a range of audiences.

Qualifications

Whilst Project Management certifications are desirable, we are mostly interested in your experience.

We expect most people to come into the office a minimum of 2 times each month. However, this will vary according to role and will be agreed with your team leader. There is no expectation that people will return to the office full time unless they want to, however, some of our roles require full time on site attendance (e.g., lab teams, reception team). Our office locations are: Canary Wharf, Cambridge and Leeds.

Onboarding background checks

As part of our recruitment process, all successful candidates are subject to a Standard Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
