Genius Camp is currently hiring an Education Policy Officer. Genius Camp is a collective endeavor of experienced engineers with the vision to provide a wholesome and holistic educational experience for kids and teenagers across the country. At Genius Camp, we engage children in real-life tasks and encourage them to apply theory in a fun way, using Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM). Our camps offer personalized attention with a low student-to-teacher ratio and a continuous learning experience with take-home objects and articles. We aim to build confidence through quality teaching for every student enrolled in our camps.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Manage all Education policy and program officers, including but not limited to NOC 4166, in an educational company.
- Conduct research, produce reports, and administer education policies and programs according to Nova Scotia Education Guidance.
- Evaluate curriculum programs and recommend improvements across all STEM programs.
- Develop the structure, content, and objectives of the Genius Camp Metaverse program.
- Conduct statistical analyses to assess the cost-effectiveness of education policies and programs.
- Provide ongoing professional development, training, and consulting services to teachers and professionals in the public and private sectors.
- Update STEM courses and programs based on industry advancements, technological changes, and market demand.
- Oversee and coordinate administrative procedures, review, evaluate, and implement new processes.
- Establish work priorities, delegate tasks to support staff, and ensure deadlines and procedures are met.
- Develop teaching materials and resources for program delivery.
- Deliver presentations at conferences, workshops, and symposia.
- Supervise other education policy researchers, consultants, or program officers as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in education.
- Specialized training or certification in STEM.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Strong sales skills in the education industry.
- Familiarity with STEM curriculum development, especially in Metaverse and Virtual Reality.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- Exceptional computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Outlook, Gmail, and database management.
Desired Skills:
- Reliable and engaging personality.
- Bilingual skills in English/Farsi and Arabic are assets.
- Experience in academic settings is an asset.
- Comfortable communicating with parents and students.
