As Principal Technical SEO at Legend, you will co-own the technical SEO strategy for high-impact gaming and sports domains, shaping organic and commercial outcomes at scale. You’ll partner with Product and Engineering to prioritise opportunities, lead complex investigations, and implement scalable, AI-enabled workflows. This senior role combines hands-on problem solving with setting standards across portfolios and guiding broader SEO capability. You’ll work across crawling, rendering, indexation, and performance to drive measurable impact and champion innovative tooling.
Responsibilities
- Co-own portfolio-wide technical SEO strategy, roadmap and standards with top impact
- Lead complex investigations across crawling, rendering, indexation, architecture, internal linking, international SEO, migrations, structured data and web performance
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering on architecture, releases, migrations and experimentation to translate SEO insights into priorities
- Build automated monitoring, diagnostics and early-warning systems for technical issues
- Develop internal tools and AI-enabled workflows to improve analysis, quality assurance, prioritisation and execution across SEO
- Create reusable technical patterns, guardrails and frameworks and uplift team capability through coaching and tooling
Key requirements
- Proven track record leading complex technical SEO initiatives at scale with measurable outcomes
- Expert knowledge across crawling, rendering, indexation, architecture, internal linking, canonicalisation, international SEO, migrations, structured data, JavaScript SEO, log-file analysis and web performance
- Ability to translate technical findings into business priorities based on value, risk, effort and opportunity cost
- Experience influencing Product, Engineering and senior stakeholders without direct authority
