Head of Transactional Processing

b Overview /b p In this role, you will lead Genius Sports’ global transactional finance functions, overseeing AR, AP, and payroll to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and governance. You will drive process optimization, build a strong controls framework, and align global accounting for payroll under a shared vision. You’ll partner with commercial teams and IT to implement automation and KPI-led performance improvements. This is an opportunity to shape transactional excellence in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. /p b Pay / Benefits /b ul li competitive salary /li li range of benefits /li li supporting employee wellbeing /li li career growth opportunities /li li hybrid/office-first working model /li /ul b Responsibilities /b ul li Oversee the Accounts Receivable team (6 people) to ensure accuracy and compliance /li li Oversee the Accounts Payable team (6 people) to ensure efficiency /li li Oversee the Payroll team (6 people) to align global processes /li li Develop and implement efficient transactional workflows across AR, AP, and Payroll /li li Drive process improvement projects (AP: PO/credit card alignment, OCR, standardized processing; AR: automated billing, credit control; Payroll: clearly defined roles, global alignment) /li li Establish and monitor KPIs for transactional teams and drive performance improvements /li li Maintain relationships with customers and internal stakeholders to resolve discrepancies /li li Focus on credit control to improve aging, avoid bad debt and minimize write-offs /li li Ensure transactional processing aligns with financial controls and governance standards /li li Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closes for AR, AP, and Payroll /li li Lead, mentor, and develop the transactional processing team /li li Identify automation opportunities and work with IT/Finance to implement new solutions /li /ul b Key requirements /b ul li Deep experience in transactional teams within industry /li li Experience leading and transforming transactional teams across multi-service line organizations /li li Strong interpersonal skills and experience dealing with commercial teams /li li Strong understanding of ERP systems including Workday Finance /li li Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities with high attention to detail /li li Proven experience managing teams and developing members in fast-paced environments /li li Advanced knowledge of best practices in transactional processing /li li Effective communicator with a collaborative approach to cross-departmental projects /li li Ethos of continuous improvement of systems, processes and ways of working /li li Experience in a US-listed environment is useful with working knowledge of SOX controls /li /ul ul li Strong interpersonal skills /li li Collaborative approach /li li Continuous improvement mindset /li li Workday Finance /li li ERP systems knowledge /li li Process automation awareness /li /ul
