About this role – Product Marketing Manager

We’re looking for a dynamic, ambitious and curious Product Marketing Manager to support the Director of Product Marketing in establishing the Product Marketing function at Genius Sports. The role requires a storyteller with B2B experience who can communicate beyond the 'how' of a product to the 'why'. Genius is moving from a technology and services company to a product‑led organization, and this high‑profile position offers executive support and the opportunity to have significant impact on our organization.

Responsibilities

  • Positioning: Define product positioning and messaging that differentiates our products in the market to support marketing campaigns.
  • Sales Enablement: Communicate the value proposition of the products to the commercial team and develop sales tools that support the selling process.
  • Go‑To‑Market (GTM): Work with the Director of Product Marketing and cross‑functional teams on launches of new products and releases, defining value proposition, messaging, and orchestrating collateral creation. Manage implementation and reporting against defined KPIs.
  • Product Launch Tracking: Capture and report on product releases and communicate updates to commercial and operational stakeholders.
  • Content: Produce messaging for the marketing and content teams to craft engaging materials and raise our market profile.
  • Inbound Feedback: Work closely with commercial, product, and operations to establish and implement regular customer and sales feedback that feeds into marketing messaging and product development.
  • Audience and Market Understanding: Act as the user insights and market expert, delivering competitive analyses and staying current on user needs and the competitive landscape.
  • Product Development: Provide critical inbound feedback to inform the product development process, including proactive work on value proposition, feature priorities, naming, and downstream GTM decisions.
  • Product Expertise and Influence: Foster deep product understanding and ensure alignment before new features or products are built.
  • Naming & Positioning: Proactively develop naming and positioning based on research, drive alignment processes, and ensure marketing campaigns are coherent with positioning.
  • Case Studies and Efficacy: Collaborate with commercial and marketing teams to build a robust case study and evidence repository.

Qualifications

  • 3‑5 years of B2B Product Marketing or related marketing experience, preferably in a fast‑moving technology, ad‑tech, martech, SaaS, or sports business environment.
  • Ability to distill complex information into simple, digestible, and impactful messaging.
  • Demonstrable marketing results in current and previous roles, with proven ability to develop powerful collateral.
  • Skilled communicator, both verbally and written, comfortable with public speaking and engaging with clients and colleagues with confidence.
  • Highly organized with keen attention to detail.
  • Commercial outlook, understanding the importance of product‑driven activities and how to make them successful.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience bringing new SaaS applications, ad‑tech, or sports products and services to market.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, digital marketing, or another business‑related field.
