The Role

Legend is hiring a Principal Technical SEO, reporting directly to our Chief Gaming Officer. This is a rare opportunity to take portfolio‑wide responsibility for the technical SEO performance of some of the largest and most commercially important domains in iGaming. Working alongside our existing Principal Technical SEO, you will co‑own technical SEO across our Gaming portfolio, while also supporting our Sports portfolio. You will identify the technical opportunities and risks that matter most, turn them into clear priorities, and work closely with Product and Engineering to deliver measurable organic and commercial impact. This is a deeply hands‑on role where you will solve complex challenges across crawling, rendering, indexation, architecture, internal linking, internationalisation, migrations and performance, while setting standards that scale across our portfolio. You will also play a key role in advancing how we use AI and automation across SEO. You will build tools, monitoring, diagnostics and automated workflows yourself, using technology to improve the speed and quality of decision‑making and helping our wider SEO teams adopt these capabilities. This is a senior individual contributor role with significant autonomy and visibility. You will lead through expertise rather than formal authority, working alongside senior specialists and leaders across SEO, Product, Engineering and Analytics to shape decisions across the organisation.

Your Impact:

  • Co‑own our portfolio‑wide technical SEO strategy, roadmap and standards, identifying and prioritising the opportunities and risks with the greatest potential organic and commercial impact.
  • Lead complex technical investigations across crawling, rendering, indexation, architecture, internal linking, international SEO, migrations, structured data and web performance.
  • Partner with Product and Engineering on architecture, major releases, migrations and experimentation, translating technical SEO insights into clear priorities and scalable solutions.
  • Build automated monitoring, diagnostics and early‑warning systems that identify material technical issues before they become significant commercial problems.
  • Develop internal tools and AI‑enabled workflows that improve analysis, quality assurance, prioritisation and execution across technical SEO and the wider SEO organisation.
  • Create reusable technical patterns, guardrails and frameworks across our portfolio, raising technical capability through coaching, documentation and shared tooling.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Repeated technical SEO impact at scale- a strong track record of personally leading complex technical SEO initiatives across large websites or multi-domain portfolios, with clear evidence of measurable organic or commercial outcomes.
  • Commercial and strategic thinking- able to translate complex technical findings into priorities based on expected value, risk, effort, confidence and opportunity cost, connecting technical decisions to organic and commercial outcomes.
  • Principal‑level influence- experienced in influencing Product, Engineering and senior stakeholders without direct authority, challenging constructively and communicating complex technical decisions clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • A builder's mindset- intellectually curious, technically self‑sufficient and comfortable remaining deeply hands‑on while creating systems, standards and capabilities that increase the impact of teams beyond your own individual contribution.

The Interview Process:

  • 1st: Initial chat with our Talent Partner - 30 minutes via Zoom.
  • 2nd: Interview with our Chief Gaming Officer - 60 minutes via Zoom.
  • 3rd: Technical SEO interview with senior members of our SEO team - 60 minutes via Zoom.
  • 4th: Case presentation and Principal peer interview - 90 minutes via Zoom, including a technical SEO assessment prepared ahead of the interview.
